The First Tv
The first television was created in 1884 by a man named Paul Nipkow who was 33 years old. Even though it was never a working model. Nipkow's spinnig-disk "image rasterizer" ( a machine that converts an image into points on a grid or into a bitmap feature) for television became commmon and was in use until 1939. To the right is a picture of the first tv ever made.
The first television also was black and white and had a small monitor. The most expensive television was the 1939 RCA at $600. It was this much because it was a Pre-war Electronic Factory Set. The cheapest television was the 1932 SeeAll at $13. The televisions of the 1940's ranged from $325- $2495 because they were Post-War.
The televisions were made out of glass tubes. The materials used to make televisions today include lots of plastics for the case & structure of the set and metals for the wiring and other components. Inside there is an electrical circuit board that carries high voltages (potentially lethal voltages). But the tv as a whole is made of metals, plastics and glass.
